decision of the Armenian authorities to send military forces to Iraq. Do You think
it is so dangerous?I can’t understand the foreign policy of the RA from the
position of Armenia’s interests. The RA hadn’t taken part in that war from the
begining and now when the other countries have lef from Iraq when everybody understands
that the rude mistakes have been done Armenia declares suddenly about its involving
in that process. There is no logic.If we observe what kind of consequences our
country might have it becomes obsolutely incomprehensible.But if we observe it
from the position of those own interests who have saved up authority, riches and
don’t want to loose it becomes logical.They have already managed to determine
their relations with some of the players of the world-wide stage such as France,
RF, Iran. But the relations with the US were difficult. And now they try to solve
that serious problem.But they explain their decission as a
result of the foreign pressure. Can our authorities prevent the US wishes?I
exclude the pressure from the US because if the US didn’t mean all those dangers
for Armenia it would make us to take part.According to your thoughts does
the US think about Armenia and not to danger us? I think that the US acts
practicaly: when the countries introduce their problems the US takes into account.
It is an unfriendly, destructive step against the RA to think that the US would
allow to do. And if allowed it would be in the begining and more logic. But if
there were the lack of the participated countries the US would supply less problematic,
with the help of African countries. It isn’t the same thing when our authorities
declared about their initiation and probably the US wouldn’t allow us to refuse.
Now it is given a more precise definition in the region.And Armenia must choose
its position.Do You think what happened in the Upper Lars was the result of
that policy?Our country has never been such humbled. Our allies Georgia and
RF utilized the citizens of RA to work against each other.I can’t remember such
an event in all over the world. Essentially these people were hostages. There
is another humbled step when the president of Poland has negotiated with the armenian
representative about sending military forces to Iraq then declared that Poland
would go out from the country. I don’t think that poland have desided during a
week. Every normal state would claim for explanations, realize demarches and would
show that it’s unacceptable. Armenia didn’t do that things the authorities of
Armenia see their vulnerability that’s why no answer followed that actions.The
UK embassador’s claim was published lately where he considered Kocharian as a
legitim ruler and there was stability in Armenia and that there was nothing to
prevent it. But our opposition declares every day that there is nothing to remain,
the revolution will burst soon. What do you think?Changing a little the one
of prime-minister’s words we may say that everything what serves the UK interests
is legitim in our world.What kind of interests the UK pursued in this case?
There is the problem of 50 military servants that sizes up the situation in Caucasian
region, the UK and the USA are the main players there. There isn’t everything
lost for the opposition on this hand. If the opposition begin to declare that
Kocharian delays the sending of the forces or he must send 500 soldiers instead
of 50 the opposition will be legitim, too. So we’ll have two legitim authorities-
