The
oppositionists think of the participation of Russian "GRU" /General
Intelligence Administration/ in the crime of "the October 27" not excluding
that it is an Azerbaijani instigation. Alluding to the "Real Azerbaijan
Electronic newspaper "Azg" daily newspaper wrote in its issue of 30
April; the former official of the Federal Service of the RF security Alexander
Litvinenko who has got a political asylum in the Great Britain has declared that
the Russian military intelligence – GRU had organized the events of the Armenian
Parliament on 27 of October, 1999. "A lot of people from the leadership of
Russian special services know that another special service – GRU organized the
shooting in the Armenian Parliament in 1999. That special action gave to the Russian
political leadership an opportunity to prevent the signing of Karabakh settlement
agreement. As I remember it was spoken about signing a memorandum of the Presidents
R. Kocharian and H. Aliev in the OSCE summit. The peaceful process was developing
out of the Russian control, which made the Russian special services to realize
a special action in the Parliament of Armenia,"- according to "Azg"
Litvinenko had said. It should mention that the first person who alluded to the
existance of the trace of the third country in the RA NA crime was the same Vladimir
Putin who was the RF Prime minister at that time. We were interested yesterday
if beside the message of "Republic" party that party and its leader,
the brother of the victim of October 27 Vazgen Sargsian Aram Sargsian have tried
to turn to the RF Embassy in Armenia asking to find out the accuracy of the information.
The member of the city soviet of the party and the press secretary Suren Sureniants
answered that they haven’t turned to the Embassy for that request and added: "We
don’t need in it. And as regards to the version of other country’s participation
we don’t exclude any version." We must remind that the RF Embassy in Armenia
hasn’t replied to this declaration yet. In Sureniants opinion it is the problem
of the Embassy. As regards to the position of the People’s Party of Armenia
founded by the former NA chairman Karen Demirchian the press speaker of the party
Ruzan Khachatrian said that was declared in that time when the head of People’s
Party Stepan Demirchian wasn’t in Armenia, so the party hasn’t replied to it yet.
At the same time R. Khachatrian didn’t exclude that it was possible for the party
to ask for explanations from the RF Embassy. She also added that "the declaration
of the RF citizen is serious and it must pay attention to it. Explanations must
be given on that occasion though it isn’t excluded that it can be an instigation
as the source of information is Azerbaijani."The NA deputy Victor Dallakian
repeated that "27 of October" was a political, organized terrorism,
which had its organizers as from inside as outside. "That published information
can be marked as a new circumstance and the Prosecutor must take steps in connection
with it,"- the deputy said. He also considered right from both the political
and moral sides that the RF Embassy in Armenia must give explanations on that
occasion in particular that "we are considered the RF strategic ally."Naira
