According
to him the authorities of Armenia solve personal problems in Turkey.Aram
Karapetian has alluded during our previous interviews that the Armenian officials
with the help of the President carry on secret negotiations in Turkey as if for
the settlement of Armenian-Turkish relations. As the Turkey -EU negotiations were
blockaded for this stage we asked Mr. Karapetian to interpret first that if the
EU advice addressed to the EU was coming from the interests of Armenia and to
elucidate the above mentioned "secret negotiating" process. "These
are problems of Turkey and EU. I keep thinking that Armenia take part in separately.
Our problems are directed to strengthen Armenia. Turkey and EU will make an attempt
of mutual-agreement. It was interesting that Austria was for the position of one
of the opposite side. In the interests of Austria it has always had apprehension
to the membership of Turkey. We have always participated to the question with
the problem of Genocide but it is the problem of both institutions and depends
on them. In my opinion Turkey isn’t ready to accept EU advice now and there is
a possibility that country won’t become the EU member,"- he thinks. Will
Armenia win or loose from it? "Unless Armenia is a powerful country it won’t
win from anything." By the way Mr. Karapetian expressed his opinion on Armenia
to become stronger peculiarly. "A lot of people connect it with the railway
or other thing; railway doesn’t pass through Israel. Everything is much connected
with internal resources, with general connections and relations with superpowers."As
regards "secret negotiations" "the main theme of it wasn’t the
settlement of geopolitical problems which would be right but having economic,
political dividends, they have tried to compare issues on their personal business
with the state processes. I think that the main propose of those negotiations
is that if it is possible to use the possibilities of Turkey for keeping the authority
of the present ruling clique in case of bad attitudes of any superpower towards
Armenia. In other words it was a discussion of reserve version. The problems of
Genocide have also been discussed but according to my information the Armenian
side hasn’t got any answer on that issue. They couldn’t get, Turkey isn’t ready
to understand and recognize the Genocide obviously. There were thousands of problems
in case of holding an academic meeting. It’s another thing that we must continue
our processes understanding if it is possible or nor. Irrespective of EU Turkey
is rather great and powerful state. I don’t think that the superpowers with western
orientation will refuse Turkey in favor of Armenia. Large sums of money are invested
in that country, serious grounds, it’s a NATO member country, military stations,
all these must be taken into consideration and then to go and speak. They tried
to make a mistake by the convention of Alexandrapol in 1920 and Armenia had a
lot of looses as a result. One of the thinkers has said; "History teaches
those people who want to learn, history teaches nothing the fools."A.
Karapetian promises to publish concrete names only after denying officially his
information. We must remind that the Minister of Foreign Affairs declared after
our first announcement that it was spoken about progress meetings, which took
place among diplomats of second class of the ministries. Answering to "Aravot’s"
