Levon Ter-Petrosyan declared in Tavush region yesterday.
In his speech Ter-Petrosyan promised that in case of his victory on February 19, the country will be changed essentially. “Look with whom I have come here”, – Ter-Petrosyan said showing PPA Leader Stepan Demirchyan and “Republic” Party Leader Aram Sargsyan. He confirmed for the recurrent time that the team with whom he will come to power is a new one, it is new but very familiar to the public, like Stepan Demirchyan from whom the authorities took the victory in 2003. Levon Ter-Petrosyan also said: “The victory which will be on February 19 is not only mine. It will be the victory which was deprived by the authorities in 1998 and 2003, and Karen Demirchyan’s and Vazgen Manukyan’s life in 1999. As the leader of joint opposition Ter-Petrosyan said that the coming victory is also for those persons memory.
When the First President was going to leave a woman from Tsakhkavan approached and said: “I don’t like when people accuse you on TV. We understand that we were conducting war during your authority”. She also hoped that now, in case of relative peace, Ter-Petrosyan will be a better leader. “You are the best candidate, I am very happy that you are still brave.”
In his next meetings Ter-Petrosyan noted that he hadn’t come to tell tails or give lie promises. In his team members’ opinion, RA First President is not only the best candidate who can win the current regime but his pre-electoral programme is a real opportunity to improve the people’s social-economic situation.
Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s meeting was over in Ijevan and Dilijan towns where he emphasized once more that the powerful procession on January 22, where about 100.000 people were participating, proved that they have won in Yerevan. In his opinion, the authorities have also understood it, and now the authorities hope to win in regions and villages. Levon Ter-Petrosyan called the Tavush population not to believe in the authorities, to elect whom they want except Serge Sargsyan.
