POWERFUL RALLIES

  RA First President and presidential candidate Levon Ter-Petrosyan finished his campaign in Armavir region visiting Masis and Echmiadzin towns. People greeted him warmly. Nichol Pashinyan. Looking at the gathered people (who are about 4000 according to the local policemen) said: “We have already won. The leaders of bandocracy are in panic. The reason is that their scenario of elections is failed.” He also noted that people’s consolidation is still continuing. As a proof of it he noted not only “Heritage” and “New Times”, “National renaissance” Parties, but members from authority parties as well: 300 persons from Prosperous Armenia Party, regional leaders from National Unity Party , ARF members. “This means that Levon Ter-Petrsoyan is not only the opposition’s but the whole people’s unified candidate”.  He also added: “If Robert Kocharyan and Serge Sargsyan had something to detect, they should have already done it. Nobody impeded them to detect “October 27” crime during these days.  But they have not detected it but also hidden, because the criminals were their friends, their ideologists.”

PPA Leader Stepan Demirchyan also made a speech: “These powerful meetings prove that the results of the lections are already predicted. This means that our people say “no” to this criminal regime”. Levon Ter-Petrosyan noted in his speech made in Masis town: “I have come here not to propagandize but call for calmness. I should also ask my friends to calm down, be sure, speak as winners because it is the truth”, – RA First President declared. He also declared that big amounts are transferred to abroad. “This means two things: the officials of Armenia and several wealthy people have become rich in illegal way, so they transfer their money to other countries. If that money were earned in legal way they wouldn’t transfer. It also means that those people have understood that they have lost the elections, and the authority belongs to the people”. Levon Ter-Petrosyan notices that this fact is very dangerous since those money are our national wealth and it might be found out that our state treasury is empty on February 20. That’s why he called the Central Bank Governor to make measurements and publish the daily balance of state treasury resources: Otherwise we will consider that CB is engaged in exporting RA wealth”.

Levon Ter-Petrosyan also spoke about the “Meghry version” and its denial by the authorities: “The authorities may carry out a wrong policy, be corrupted, but the most offensive thing is to be cheated. He confirmed the existence of that version and was failed by four persons: Karen Demirchyan, Vazgen Sargsyan, Aram Sargsyan, Vagharshak Harutiunyan who were showed that document. They also tried to convince them that it was a successful document. RA First President also detected that there are witnesses who can confirm that Robert Kocharyan showed that document and a map to Vazgen Sargsyan with the presence of US Deputy Secretary of State Talbot in his office on October 27, 1999.  Vazgen Sargsyan threw that map onto Kocharyan’s face with the presence of US diplomat and went out of the office. People came to calm Vazgen down. It happened two our before the tragedy.
