Yesterday the trial regarding the case of Italians Vincenzo Torino and Antonio Caveini ended after a quick trial in the trial court of Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun administrative districts, presided by Judge Armen Khachatryan.
These extraordinary Italians, arriving in Armenia, obtained a badge of the Armenia Marriott Hotel for stealing large amount of money, then, driving a rented Ford Kusa with 093 ԼՏ 62 government license plate, they stopped Andranik Mkhitaryan, a resident of Armenia. They introduced themselves as managers of the Armani Company. They spoke of leaving forItaly and “settling the matter” and took $950 from Andranik.
They received $500 and €100 from another victim Artak Petrosyan for the same reason.

Andranik, seeing off a friend, accidentally found out that the flight mentioned by the Italians did not exist. When the Italians were caught, police officers found $2400 and €3180, searching them.
The court released Vincenzo, who was kept in Nubarashen Correctional Facility of the Ministry of Justice, from the courtroom.
Each of the Italians was fined 1 million AMD. The Italians apologized to the Italian Ambassador toArmeniaand Armenians and Vincenzo even cried.
