April 08,2014 18:32

NA Deputy Speaker, RPA, Spokesperson Eduard Sharmazanov, after the last session of RPA EB, where the Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan’s resignation was adopted, in the interview with the journalists, said that Tigran Sargsyan had submitted his resignation still on February. However, two days later, during the working visit to the Central Bank, Serzh Sargsyan announced, “Yesterday, when we were discussing within our party, and I told that the Prime Minister had submitted me his intention to resign on March 3, we have not done it for him to say, look, we have not done it under the pressure of some political forces.” Later, this part was removed from the video in the presidential website. What caused this contradiction, and eventually, what had happened on February or March, to this question of Aravot.am the member of RPA EB, the former NA Speaker Samvel Nikoyan said, “There is no need to look for a contradiction. Yes, it was announced that the prime minister submitted his resignation still a month ago. But, given the work that needed to be accomplished: the economic conference in the party and the activities with regard to the CU, the President had instructed to continue the work. It was said that he again insisted on it and we had to discuss the matter. That was what we heard and learned.” To our clarifying issue that it turns out that Tigran Sargsyan had submitted his resignation a month ago, had insisted on it on March, Samvel Nikoyan answered, “I understood so from the President’s words. I think it was so. I might have not understood something very well, however, it was so.” And why the video on Serzh Sargsyan’s speech was edited in the Presidential website, Aravot.am applied to the President’s Spokesperson with a written request of clarification. So far, we have not received a response.
