Today, the proceeding launched by civic activist Artur Petrosyan against the police was temporarily suspended by the decision of the Administrative court. Artur Petrosyan was exposed to administrative responsibility last year, on December 2, for failure to comply with legal requirements of the police during the protest against the “Customs Union, and putinism”. Sergey Grigoryan, the representative of the activist, said that the trial was temporarily suspended until the investigation of the claim presented by Artur Petrosian against the police is over. Artur Petrosyan demands to recognize the actions of the police against him illegitimate, alleging that the police had impeded his right to freedom of expression, peaceful rallies and freedom of mobility.
