Yesterday, “Prosperous Armenia” political party published the roadmap of the long struggle, which did not contain anything new. The solemnly presented decisions with regard to negotiations with political forces, NGOs and civil society seems to be not new. They had launched these negotiations still one year ago and they are being quite successful. Individuals authorized by PAP Political Board decision, in fact, were long been engaged in these activities.
The leader of “New Times” political party, Aram Karapetyan, in conversation with “Aravot”, referring to this re-establishment, said that thus Gagik Tsarukyan tried to show that he is not in a hurry unlike Levon Ter-Petrosyan and Robert Kocharyan. The PAP Political Board decision, however, provides another quite remarkable fact that the PAP offices will turn into a “nation-wide movement headquarters.” This actually was predictable, because establishing separate headquarters require huge resources, both financial and organizational, which PAP should again take on itself. But it is remarkable that by turning its own offices to “nation-wide movement headquarters”, PAP solves a key matter, the so-called “absorbs” the parliamentary trio’s partner forces.
Agreeing with our observation, the NTP leader also added, “But he’s doing everything right, he keeps financial and organizational resources in his hands. Whoever was in that format would have done the same thing.” It’s another question that, according to our interlocutor, thus PAP is leading a process of imitation to commence a “nation-wide movement” by purely change of “transfers”. Concentration of financial and organizational resources, however, according to our interlocutor, do not render specific great opportunities to PAP, as the global political conjuncture would be anti-oligarchic. “Look at what is happening in Georgia, you will soon see it in Ukraine, in Russia, too, a part in secret and the other overtly, are trying to remove the political oligarchy from the game.”
