Forms of Self-establishment

May 21,2015 11:48

Sometimes, people accusing each other say, “You are trying to establish yourself.” It actually is not an accusation. There is no representative of a human race, which is not trying to be self-established. Everyone does it, starting from the billionaires up to the homeless person living in the TV box. It is done from conscious age to the last breath. Only the corpse is not self-established. The only question that arises here is how.

If a person is self-established by finding fault with something, then he does not love himself sufficiently. More precisely, he does not find such things in himself, for which he can be loved, and he subconsciously wants to prove that the rest of the humanity is not any better of him. When someone attacks you, in reality or virtually, with words or physically, then know that eventually, it is an imploring cry for help. The person, thus, is asking, help me to find features in me that I would like myself. Alas, it is very hard to do.

For example, in Armenia, it is a form of “boyish” self-establishment to write and say bad things about sexual minorities. As the “Eurovision” has commenced now, Conchita as a target is always there. The “bearded singer,” in my opinion, is aesthetically a very unpleasant phenomenon, but the “boys” waste words and emotions on her by a very simple subconscious message. “We understand that we do not represent anything, but please, assess us just for the fact that we are ordinary and “natural” boys.”

Former Armenians who come to the homeland as tourists for two weeks are sitting down at their relatives’ and start talking about the matters that Armenia is a cursed country. Local relatives, of course, agree with the guests’ “authoritative opinion”. Earlier, I was a bit nervous about these scenes. But now, I understand the hidden spring of this self-establishment mechanism. “We know that we are not any better of you, but please, love us for the fact that we are living in a different country.”

When the business or general parliamentarians appeared in the parliament by luck and by chance start offending their business partners, they are actually justifying. “We understand that it is not our place, we do not have any feature for which you should respect us as lawmakers, but please, close your eyes to this fact and simply accept us as “good guys.”

I understand all forms of the self-establishment. But it is a higher form of self-establishment, in my opinion, when you’re just doing your job well, help others and never talk about it. Moreover, you forget about it the next moment.
