Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan accuses the OSCE Minsk Group of the situation in the contact line. He has said that if the Minsk Group had taken fair and decisive steps over this, we wouldn’t have seen this incident happening right now. In this regard, in an interview with Aravot.am, RPA Deputy Chairman Armen Ashotyan said, “Erdoğan is a dangerous politician but his statements are politically not taken seriously even in Turkey. Our expectations of the Minsk Group should be the opposite.
We need to be more consistent with the co-chair countries to seriously discuss this terrorist posture and aggressive behavior, which jeopardizes the regional tensions not only in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone but also in the whole South Caucasus. From this perspective, our expectations of the Minsk Group will be among separated assessments. We must render all the facts to the co-chair countries, which are the evidence of a new phase of Azerbaijani aggression.”
