Film director Aram Shahbazyan’s arm is broken. “They hit me hard and broke, I went to Erebuni hospital and they told me that I have a bone fracture, I gave a signature that I refuse putting a plaster cast and came back. At night, I must travel to Bulgaria, to a film festival. I had one arm and it was broken and I cannot even drink water,” – said the film director in an interview with Aravot.am.

He told that on July 21, he had gone to the Erebuni police building where his friend’s son was. “I parked my car in the intersection of David of Sasun and Belinsky streets, there was nobody there: only SPS and I, I asked, “Hey, guys, can I enter the police station, they said, of course, not. I told that I am a journalist, they said, worse for you. I was quietly and friendly talking to one of the SPS representatives. I called my friend to notify that I am not allowed to go in, I was asking whether there is any other peaceful way to go and see him. All of a sudden, the young man who had told me “worse for you” attacked me, “Hey man, get out from here.”

I answered, “Don’t address me with “hey, man”, I am your uncle’s age, how are you talking with me?” And he said, “Hold him!”, – said Aram Shahbazyan presenting the situation. As he told, his hands were twisted by the command of this police officer, to throw him on the ground, breaking the glasses and saying, “Get the hell out of here.” “I am going to a festival, to Burgas, I refused to put my hand into a plastic cast, but they advised to at least fix it and put ice,”- said the film director, whose “Moskvitch, My Love” is included in the Bulgarian film festival.
