Armenian team improves its positions on FIDE Rating List

FIDE published September 2016 FIDE Rating List.

World Champion Magnus Carlsen (2857) is leading the list. French player Maxime Vachier-Lagrave is on the second place, Fabiano Caruana and Vladimir Kramnik got 2808 ELO points each and are on 3rd and 4th places. GM Levon Aronian (2795) remains on the 5th place.

4 more Armenian chess players are included in top 100 list as well: Sergei Movsisian (2677) is on the 59th place, Vladimir Akopian (2675) is 62nd , Hrant Melkumyan (2671) is 70th and Gabriel Sargsian (2670) is 75th.

According to chessfed.am https://chessfed.am/en/news/september-2016-frl/, Armenia is on the 6th place by team ranking.

Women World Champion Hou Yifan (2658) is the 1st in the list of the world strongest 100 women chess players. Among our chess players Elina Danielian (2444) is the 36th, Lilit Mkrtchian (2439) is the 39th.
Richard Rapport (2752) is the first among junior players. Wey Yi (2717) is on the second place and  Duda Jan-Krzysztof is the third. Manuel Petrosian (2530) from Armenia is 37th , Tigran Harutyunuan(2480) is 71st and Haik Martirosian  (2470) is 87th.

FIDE also publishes September 2016 rapid and blitz ratings lists.

World Champion Magnus Carlsen (2894) is leading the rapid list as well. Hikaru Nakamura (2839) is on the second place, and Sergei Karjakin (2818) is the third.

Levon Aronian (2770) is on the 12th place.

There are 5 more Armenian chess players in rapid top 100 players list. Hrant Melkumyan(2736) is 27th , Tigran L. Petrosian(2715) is 38th, Vladimir Akpoian (2698) is 55th , Sergei Movsisyan (2674) is 77th and Gabriel Sargsyan (2673) is 80th.

Chinese player Ding Liren (2875) is leading the blitz list. World Champion Magnus Carlsen(2873) is on the second place, and Hikaru Nakamura (2842) is the third. Levon Aronian (2826) is on the 5th place.

There are 4 more Armenian chess players in blitz top 100 players list. Hrant Melkumyan(2727) is 27th , Tigran L. Petrosian(2717) is 38th, Zaven Andriasyan (2709) is 46th and Vladimir Akopian (2654) is 91st.
