“The types of weapons that were demonstrated during the military parade are mainly of strategic level, in other words, aimed at restraining Azerbaijan,” – said military commentator Davit Harutyunyan, in an interview with Aravot.am, referring to the acquisition of the newest weapons from Russia. In his words, counteracting Azerbaijan, especially, “Iskander” will be extremely difficult, “The fact that it is a new system and created with the latest technologies. There is no military practice for counteract.” Note that recently, Israeli former Ambassador to Russia, Zvi Magen, announced that Azerbaijan can defend itself from “Iskander” with the help of the Israeli air defense systems.
In this regard, David Harutyunyan first mentioned that Azerbaijan has financial problems with Russia and Israel in terms of partnership, “Israel is engaged in anti-missile defense long ago, but its produced systems can mainly counteract the operative tactical missiles (“Scud” and its modifications) of the previous generation, which the Arab states surrounding Israel have.”
