Aronian makes draw against Wesley So

Round 3 of London Chess Classic has been held today. Levon Aronian’s competitor was the leader of the tournament Wesley So.

As Chessfed.am reports Aronian, who was playing with the white pieces, had a certain advantage in some part of the game, however So managed to find the best defence and the game ended in draw after the 37th step.

The only victory of Round 3 has been claimed by Hikaru Nakamura who played against Viswanathan Anand. Caruana-Kramnik, Vachier-Lagrave-Topalov and Adams-Gir competitions ended in draw.

After Round 3 Wesley So is leading the table with 2.5 scores. Aronian, Kramnik and Caruana have acquired 2 points.

Games of Round 4 of Fide Open International Tournament were also held within the London Chess Classic.

Robert Hovhannisyan, who is among the leaders of the tournament, has drew against Indian Murali Karthikeyan. The game between John Bartholomew and Hrant Melkumyan also ended in draw and David Mirzoyan won his game against Zoltek Tadeusz.

Thus after Round 4 Robert Hovhannisyan has gained 3.5 scores, Hrant Melkumyan and David Mirzoyan have 3 points each. Three chess players, who have gained 4 scores out of  4, are leading the table.
