Periods to be reduced in Armenian schools in case sufficient temperature is not ensured

Today the classes of the 3-12 graders have resumed in the schools of Armenia. The Press Service of the Ministry of Education and Science reports that taking into account the unfavorable weather conditions RA Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan has held a phone conversations with all the governors of the RA, as well as with Yerevan Mayor.
“The Minister has clarified the conditions on ensuring the sufficient temperature in order to organize the education process at schools. Meanwhile circular letters have been sent to the governors and Yerevan Mayor offering them to begin the classes at 10:00 with the periods lasting 30 minutes at those schools (particularly in the rural communities) that cannot ensure sufficient temperature.
Meanwhile it is to be noted that the issue is under the spotlight of the Ministry of Education and Science and appropriate information from the provinces and Yerevan are submitted to the ministry on a daily basis. Additional measures will be taken in case of necessity,” MES report reads.
