Today in the morning the pilot of UTair Boeing 737 aircraft scheduled to operate the Moscow-Yerevan flight managed to prevent an alleged plane crash.
As Rusarminfo informed Panorama.am when preparing for take-off the pilot announced that the plane was in a critical state. The flight was delayed as the valves of the rear of the aircraft were damaged.
The passengers were offered another aircraft and the technical service of Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport was carrying out inspections in the plane.
Armenia’s General Department of Civil Aviation noted the following regarding the above mentioned information: “The news spread in the media stating that today, on 1 February, UTair Boeing 737 aircraft failed to operate the flight en route from Moscow to Yerevan from the Sheremetyevo airport due to the damaged valves of the rear of the aircraft is untrue.
UTair Airlines does not operate Moscow-Yerevan flights from Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport. Its flights are held from the Vnukovo airport.
Meanwhile we have reported that UTair UT 837 aircraft operated the Moscow-Yerevan flight from the Vnukovo airport at 11:36 instead of the scheduled 11:10 and landed in Yerevan at 13:58 instead of 14:00. No incidents were registered during the flight.”
