At 15:00 February 1, taking advantage of the foggy weather conditions the Azerbaijani forces initiated a sabotage infiltration attempt in the northern (Talish) direction of the NKR Line of Contact. The Press Service of the NKR Defense Ministry informed Panorama.am about this.
According to the source detecting the advancement of the Azerbaijani special units on time, the vanguard units of the NKR Defense Army took measures of restraint and repelled the adversary inflicting losses to them.
Due to the anti-sabotage measures the Armenian frontier units managed to capture Azerbaijani serviceman identified as Elnur Hussein Zadeh, born in Barda city of Azerbaijan in 1995.
According to the credible information, at least one Azerbaijani soldier was wounded—a fact which was also confirmed by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.
It is noted that the NKR Defense Army forces continue to confidently fulfil their combat duty along the entire line of contact and are ready to neutralize any initiated attack.
