“Some 18-19 years ago, we did not pursue the goal to kill more people or capture lands. Our goal was to compel peace for the people of Karabakh to live the way they want, to enjoy their right to self-determination. At that time, we were solving this issue,” announced Vice-president of the ANC, Levon Zurabyan, during the election campaign of “Congress-PPA” alliance at the ANC office in Ashtarak.
He reminded the active members of the ANC that the Alliance supports the option of concession for the Artsakh conflict settlement, which is the Madrid principles. Zurabyan noted that Ter-Petrosyan once used to say when years later Azerbaijan uses its oil reserves and obtain weapons, it will become very dangerous, hence we should not allow the conflict be unresolved. “If we continue to keep the meaningless policy of “status quo”, we will reach the point that the victory will slip from our hands. Therefore, we say that it is time to sober up, and these elections give this chance,” said Levon Zurabyan with confidence.
