An issue has been discussed in the regular session of RPA Executive Body – RPA’s participation in the elections of the Council of Elders of Yerevan.

After the session RPA spokesperson Eduard Sharmazanov informed the media: “By the suggestion of the president of the party Serzh Sargsyan, the Republican Party of Armenia has unanimously decided that the current Mayor of Yerevan, RPA Executive Body member, Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan will top RPA proportional list in the elections of the Council of Elders of Yerevan. The second in number is the international grandmaster Smbat Lputian, the third is Hovik Musayelyan.”

RPA believes that throughout these years serious reforms have taken place in Yerevan due to Mayor Taron Margaryan and the party is hopeful that in the event of success the Council of Elders of Yerevan, Taron Margaryan in the lead, will proceed with the reforms initiated years ago.
