The session of the Armenian Government kicked off on Thursday led by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, The president’s visit was linked with the approval of the Government’s 2017-2022 action plan.
In his speech delivered at the session, Mr. Sargsyan congratulated the ministers on being reappointed to their posts. In the president’s words, currently they will consistently implement the planned projects with a unified team.
“The newly formed Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, enjoys full trust by me and by our political team. Meantime, I want to underline that as the president of Armenia and the head of the RPA faction, and as all of you here, I am confident that we are not governed by any prejudices: we are ready to collaborate with all the constructive forces in the framework of the executive and legislative authorities, local government bodies and even beyond the mentioned structures,” Mr. Sargsyan noted, adding that the only precondition of such a cooperation for them is the maintenance of the norms of courtesy and goodwill.
Serzh Sargsyan also added that the most important criteria of the Cabinet’s activity will be ensuring transparency.
