‘We are grateful, I even want to tear my shirt off out of happiness’, D. Ioannisyan scoffs at the indulgent directors

The court of general jurisdiction of Ajapnyak and Davitashen administrative districts yesterday examined the lawsuit lodged by school and kindergarten directors against the “Union of Informed Citizens”. The plaintiff directors again did not appear in the court, they only sent a note asking to terminate the proceedings.

Let us remind that the directors of 30 schools and kindergartens have sued the NGO “Union of Informed Citizens” for scandalous publication and recordings headlined: “The Republican Party Abuses the Administrative Resources in Schools and Kindergartens”, considering that the organization had defamed them.

Speaking to Aravot.am, referring to the statement of the directors, presented by their lawyer, that they had decided to be forgiving and to refuse the claim, the coordinator of the “Union of Informed Citizens” Daniel Ioannisyan responded as follows: “It’s a collective attack of kindness… what to say? As collectively, “independently” they had decided to lodge a claim on us, moreover, turned out that “accidentally” they had lodged similar lawsuits through the same law firm, just the same way “independently” they decided that they need to forgive us, “sinners”.

Then he scoffed, “We are grateful, I even want to tear my shirt off out of happiness”.

According to Daniel Ioannisian, refusing the claim is a party decision: “At that time, Armen Ashotyan did not hide either that he was behind the initiative to sue us. But they managed to understand that it was a very bad initiative, which ended not by punishing us but by causing them a lot of trouble”.
