In October, over 120 young Europeans will arrive in Armenia. In October 8-14, Dilijan will host an Academic Forum. It is implemented by the “European Youth Parliament-Armenia” (EYP Armenia). Note that the EYP in its five-year activities hosted more than 3,000 young people, about 400 volunteers. In the interview with Aravot.am, Gevorg Hayrapetyan, responsible person for the Public Relations of the Forum in Dilijan, informed that the forum attendees will discuss and adopt resolutions in the following 7 thematic committees: foreign policy, economic and monetary policy, civil rights, justice and internal policy, environment protection and public health, human rights, as well as legal issues. In his words, the best participant of the Forum will leave for Ireland to attend the international forum in Dublin in 2016. The Dilijan Forum attendees will be known after September 10.

We inquired whether the European Parliament considers the youth recommendations, Gevorg Hayrapetyan replied, “All the bills of the Forum that will be presented to the General Assembly to be passed will be sent to the European Parliament in Germany as a consultancy from the youth. Over the 25 years of the activities, some of the bills presented by the European Youth Parliament have become a law in the European Parliament without any changes.” We got interested whether the party youth will attend the Forum, our interlocutor said that the European Youth Parliament is a non-partisan independent body. To the question of whether the application will be rejected if a partisan youth applies, Gevorg replied that if he attends the Forum as a non-partisan, then it is likely that he will be included. We asked whether there are applications from Turkey and Azerbaijan, Gevorg replied, “Azerbaijan has not responded, but there are some applications from Turkey.”
