October 13,2014 15:49

According to Ara Papyan, taking into account that the rule of law and democracy in EaEU member counties is in worse situation, it is logical that in this condition Armenian cannot be better.

“If we transfer our government to another center, it means that we transfer a part of our sovereignty”, – announced the Head of “Modus Vivendi” Center, Ara Papyan, in the conversation with Aravot.am, referring to the agreement of Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian economic Union signed on October 10, in Belarus.

He mentioned that even in the event of accession to the EU, the countries lose their sovereignty, however, the countries are willing to join this Union.

“Turkey is in queue since 1962 because there is an experience there that the life is improving and the legal field is improving, which is good for the people. In this case, this experience is missing, and taking into account that rule of law of the member countries and democracy is in poor condition, it becomes logical that you cannot be better in this condition. As far as there is a clear growth of customs duty, which will results in price increase, in other words, we have specific negative consequences and opportunities, thus, the difference here is that the negative is “at hand” and the opportunity – “in bushes.””
