According to “Aravot’s” information, RA chief of police Hayk Haroutiunian has ordered the head of departments of Yerevan and regions to implement strengthened service in their administrative territories from May 5-30, 2007. The reason of this order is the forthcoming parliamentary election on May 12. RA deputy chief of police Hovhannes Varian will control the implementation of that order that successfully prevented peaceful demonstrators’ “encroachments” against “public order” in April 2004.
