\”FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS; THERE IS NO OTHER WAY\”

LEADERSHIP
As it was expected the PAP third special session was organized very luxuriously. There were plenty of skinheads and jeeps surrounded the hall of government\’s sittings at Melik-Adamian Street. By the way, they were preventing to take the cars\’ photos.
There weren\’t famous political figures among the leadership: scientists, trainers, cultural workers had gathered in main. From parliamentarians former OEP members Melik Manukian, Arshak Mkhitarian, NA former parliamentarian Vardan Bostanjian were present at the session, as well as Artyom Kushkian, the owner of Erebuni Medical Center, Murad Guloyan, the member of RPA faction, Emma Khudabashian, former PPA member, NA parliamentarian, Felix Yayloyan, former PPA member, former head of Arabkir community, Artsrun Avagian, the dean of Philological Faculty at Yerevan State University, Vanush Khanamirian, Albert Azarian, Vilen Hakobian, Guj Manukian, Aram Isabekian, famous culture workers and scientists.

Almost everybody who had been invited to the session were present, including RPA leader, Prime Minister Andranik Margarian, RPA faction leader Galust Sahakian, ARF bureau representative Hrant Margarian, ARF GB Armenian representative Armen Rustamian, RA President\’s head of staff Armen Gevorgian, ULP leader Gurgen Arsenian. “National Unity” People\’s Party of Armenia and Rule of Law Party have also sent not the first figures but party members. Only Armen Rustamian and Khosrov Harutiunian, the leader of Christian Democratic Party, made welcoming speeches. The later said in his speech turning to the leadership that he had had close and warm relations with most of them and hoped that warm relations and collaborations would be kept.
Armen Rustamian\’s speech was more political: “Unfortunately the political system isn\’t completely formed, and a lot of people are tempted by forming new parties, and this process worries us just for the reason that that system isn\’t formed”. He also added: “I hope the political parties will be able to control the process of elections, and form a democratic authority as a result of fair elections”.

Gagik Tsarukian\’s speech
PAP leader warned that he would speak short, as he was a person of business; “I have said for many times that I have formed with my adherents a new political force which managed to become a powerful, influential, trustful structure in a short time. As the PAP leader I don\’t pursue personal interests. Policy isn\’t a way to get a position for me, and I don\’t want to be appointed at any post, what I have wished during these years, I have reached with the help of my work, and now my unique aim is to have strong, stable and prosperous Armenia, which we must build together.” Gagik Tsarukian emphasized that they would participate in the elections separately: “We respect all our rivals and are ready to collaborate in holding free and fair elections. Free and fair elections, there is no other way, the other way will destroy the whole political arena of Armenia”.

The party\’s discovered figures
Vanush Khanamirian: “My soul believes in Gagik Tsarukian”.
Vardan Bostanjian: “I\’m deeply sure that our party will do its best for our country”.
Aram Isabekian: “It is often told that intellectuals have nothing to do in the policy, I don\’t think so, because we see that persons of high intellect, cultural workers actively carry out policy in Europe”
Albert Azarian: \’I don\’t carry out policy but as a trainer I have seen how much importance Mr. Tsarukian attributes to the sport, I\’m sure, he think about our people”.
