I’M A WEAPON MYSELF

General Seyran Saroyan said, denying the information as if he has shot during the meeting with teachers.

–         You are known as a military man, hero of Karabakh war and the commander of the fourth biggest corps, so what did compel you to give up it and carry out policy?

–         I had left policy off and had been engaged in army construction. It was the most important problem after our victory in the war, strengthening the army defends us from the enemy. Nowadays, I see a lot of substitutes and I don’t want to close their way. Army needs in younger generation, and the parliament needs in it, too. The same politicians are always in the parliament, why? And they always speak of the same things. But our neighbors develop, use new methods and technologies. It’s enough to listen to the same thing for about 20 years. That’s why I wanted to carry out policy.

–         Thus, Seyran Saroyan wants to innovate political arena.

–         My innovation is to try to establish legality in our state. We all feel outside dangers, and I feel that my place is in the parliament; the budget of our enemy’s army is equal to the budget of our state. We are asleep and don’t understand what will happen tomorrow. Everybody understands what will happen if our enemy fight with new weapons.

–         In your opinion whether the current parliamentarians don’t understand it?

–         Idlers may undervalue everybody, but the working persons may have omissions, I have no contacts with them to learn how they have worked. But I think that my place is in the parliament more than in the army.

–         RPA will defend your candidacy in the elections, instead of RPA member candidate. Why did RPA decide to defend you?

–         You are a serious woman, I know, you love your homeland, listen, I haven’t come from the U.S., I’m not a new man in this state. You say Republican Party, whose ideology does it embrace, Hjdeh’s. And if nowadays people repeat Hjdeh’s words I was realizing those words in the borders of our country. Yes, there were party members who were only speaking, they were speaking I was achieving. I have justified myself in the war, now I want to test my strength in the political arena.

–         Anyway, your character is a military one, and you aren’t correspondent with the character of politician both by your appearance and other details. It is spoken that you have an armed group, which defends you everywhere. Why are you defended and from whom?

–         Do you believe in it? From Turks, they don’t want to have a commander like me. It’s a cold war, when so many bad things are written about me. I think that Turks organize it. The journalist writes, says that he has information. Everybody knows that information war is being conducted, and Turks work very well. Our journalists are professionals but they assist Turks by publishing false information.

–         They say that the personal relations between you and Manvel Grigoryan are strained.

–         I will answer in two words, Manvel is my elder brother, my great friend, nothing has happened between us.

–         According to some remarks, Echmiadzin will be a difficult electoral district, hard elections are expected here, and those who give such remarks mean you. They say, you may resort to force, commit frauds.

–         I’ll answer that question in the following way: I’ll enter into the parliament and will say in the first speech that the parliament isn’t a place for defense, we have come to design normal laws for our state, nation, let’s remove this personal immunity. If we remove it, we’ll have a normal parliament, people won’t kill each other for having seats in the parliament. Then we’ll write laws in favor of our people and not in favor of our business, and not some of us grow rich and the rest of people suffer.

–         Do you believe that Karabakh conflict will be settled by giving some territories back?

–         Why don’t you allow us to go to the political arena? Frankly speaking, never believe that nowadays authorities will give territories to anyone, never believe. We haven’t occupied other’s territory; we have simply liberated our territories.

–         Well, but how the conflict will be settled?

–         I’ll come to the parliament and you’ll see then. I have always understood the settlement by weapon. We’ll enter into the political arena, and then it will be obvious.

–         Do you consider Serge Sargsyan as  the RA presidential candidate?

–         Why not, I don’t even see another candidate. He has made his great contribution on our state’s victory and nobody will keep that victory better than he.

–         They say, that you were drunk during the meeting with teacher and did indecent things.

–         Look, the person, who has written such things, doesn’t himself believe in what he has written. First of all who will drink in a new sphere, and I never keep weapon at me. Everybody knows that I take weapon only in the borders. A lot of journalists have always asked me why I don’t keep weapon at me. But I was answering, I’m a weapon myself, why should I need. I have grown up in the teacher’s family, how could I behave in that way? Everybody understands that all it is a black propaganda.
