The Central Electoral Commission decided this way and registered their candidacy. CEC didn’t refuse anyone.
24 parties and one alliance will participate in the elections but with fewer candidates. It became clear during CEC sitting yesterday that only four political forces /”National Unity”, “National Accordance”, Prosperous Armenia and Marxist Party/ haven’t changed their lists for proportional electoral system. There is one change in RPA list, he is Andranik Margaryan.
The reason of other changes is the lack of documents necessary for registration. Four persons have been out of NDP list, nine persons from “Dashink”, 5 persons from “Heritage”, 4 from People’s Party, 4 from “People’s way” Party. Nine persons are out of the list of “Impeachment” alliance and four members from ARF. Progressive Party and Democratic Party of Armenia lost one person each, Youth Party lost 3 members, PPA lost 5 members. 13 persons were out of ANM list, 6 persons were out of “Republic” and ULP lists, and 4 are from “New Times”. 11 persons were out of “Rule of Law” Party list; among them was Victor Martirosyan, the former rector of European regional university who also stopped his majority struggle in Vayots Dzor. The next was NA parliamentarian Gagik Avetyan who was the 32nd in the list. Gagik Avetyan replied to “Aravot’s” question about the reasons of being out: “Simply I haven’t wanted”.
There were no objections for the registration of these members, except MIAK and “Dashink”. In both cases “Justice” representative Felix Khachatryan raised objections. The source of Gagik Martirosyan’s income, which is the participant of “Comedy Club” and second in the MIAK list isn’t mentioned in the document. “He has written in the application that he has been working in
As for Samvel Babayan, Felix Khachatryan’s objection referred to the reference, which proves that he has been living in
