“Rule of Law” Party deputy leader Heghine Bisharyan assures.
In Heghine Bisharyan’s opinion “the campaign is peaceful though the obstacles the «Rule of Law» Party faces and the broadcast discrimination that exists nowadays. «H2», «Kentron», «Shant», «ALM» TV Companies almost don\’t elucidate our meetings, instead they telecast the RPA, PAP and outher pro-authority parties\’ rallies. This infringes the laws of «Electoral Code», and we have complained about it to the Central Electoral Commssion». «Rule of Law» Party /OEP/ held a ralli in front of Matenadaran where /according to OEP/ about 20 000 persons were gathered. It was strange for the OEP deputy leader that the «H1» correspondent was absent. «By the way «Haylur» hasn\’t covered our activities for 4 days. No other Electronic media was also present. The correspondents of «Franspress», «Interfax», German and Austrian media and OSCE observers were present instead».
Heghine Bisharyan also said: «The government demanded to leave the editorial office of «OrinatsErkir» official newspaper in this pre-electoral period. While we have rented the office for about 10 years. This is the recurrent pressure that we condemn. Special services pursue and record all our speeches instead of calling to responsibility those political parties which, breaking the «Electoral Code» distribute flour and fertilizers in Gavar, Martuny, Vayots Dzor. People tell us that RPA, ULP, PAP are going to distribute bribes on May10-11. As everybody is listened and recorded in our country, it seems to me that in case of a slightest wish it would be possible not only to prevent but also punish for that kind of activities.”
In answer to former OEP deputy leader Gagik Aslanyan’s announcement about avoiding any contact with the OEP, Heghine Bisharyan said: “Gagik Aslanyan is one of our party’s 110000 members. And we learned about his intentions several months ago. “Aravot” has written about it. I don’t want to label him but will mention three reasons.
Reason 1: Gagik Aslanyan wasn\’t included in our proportional list and offended.
Reason 2: We dismissed his brother from the electoral commission in Talin as he had «given» the part of our seats to RPA. We have written complains and facts and now discuss the issue to send the materials to the law enforcement services but the Party leader is against that approach.
Reason 3: PDP has been liquidated and joined the OEP about 4 years before. It isn\’t clear why Gagik Aslanyan makes such an announcement several days before the elections. They say that the authorities have promised this politician a seat. It seems he committed the order of one of his former «bosses», those bosses whom he was praising when we appointed him in the post of deputy Minister of Territorial Governing and whom he was cursing a year later. There is no comment. OEP head of staff Mels Markosyan marked the incident as a betrayal».
