Phisician Ara Babloyan , the chairman of the NA standing commission on social, healthcare and environment issues, is sure that Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan will be the next president and will be a good one.
«Aravot» half-joked noticed in its interview to Ara Babloyan that Mr. Babloyan had held positions under the rule of different rulers: Armenian national movement (ANM) , the current authority. We tried to find out Mr. Babloyan\’s opinion about nowadays authority and parliament. He told that he had worked during that period: «As under the ANM rule as well as now I work, I am non-party, I have my approaches, my ideas, and if those ideas are approved by the certain authorities, I collaborate with pleasure. I think that the project that the Republican Party has adopted is close to mine. I\’m also the co-author of RPA project on healthcare».
As our interlocutor is a physician, we were simply interested in his opinion about our society \’ s physical and mental health situation. Whether the mental health problems haven\’t been worsen during te last 10 years. The word of the specialist is the following : «Not only in Armenia but all over the world, in particularly in developed countries, the problems of mental and physical helth are being increased. Maybe it is very surprising that together with the public and state developments, the problem of mental health becomes more difficult, and it needs in special approches. If you are informed to the RPA project, you should have been noticing that our project for the mental healthcare is important for us. As regards to the physical healthcare, I\’m deeply convinced that the health of nation is one of the greatest guarantees of our security. And we must do everything to develop physical activity in our country. »
We also asked Ara Babloyan to examine our new elected National Assembly and remark the lawmakers’ physical, mental health situation: Whether the elected representatives of the people are healthy? Mr. Babloyan avoided of giving concrete answers and only said: «I don\’t know everyone very well, but the time will show, and I hope, we\’ll manage to realize what we must». Maybe he meant that the lawmakers\’ capacities will be enough to achieve the NA goals. But Mr. Babloyan didn\’t avoid of marking Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan. The RPA already declares that its candidacy in the presidental elections is Serge Sargsyan. Mr. Babloyan\’s opinion was the following: « I have my clear opinion on his visit as I know him since 1991 when I was the government member. He is a person of principles, very honest and wants to develop our country. The ideas that he has are corresponding to the prospects of the country’s development. He makes efforts to achieve peace, internal solidarity, and social justice, develop healthcare, education, science, of the Ra President and will be a good and this assures us that Serge Sargsyan will get that vote, will hold the post of the president and will be a good president.
