NDU leader, former Prime Minster Vazgen Manukyan says about the new formed government.
Several days before the government formation, on June 4, Prime Minster Serge Sargsyan said that “some changes will be made which haven’t made in our political culture before”. Earlier, on May 5, he said in his interview to «Europolice»: «We have the experience of coalition government where I don\’t like several elements. Thereare spheres that must be non-partisan, even if the head of the sphere is partisan. I also think that it is right not to divide regions among parties or carry out partisan policy in educational sector». In our question whether Serge Sargsyan\’s above-mentioned principles have been applied, Mr. Manukyan said: «I think those principles weren\’t applied. The government wasn\’t changed so much and almost the main staff has remained. Anyway, in my opinion, if only Serge Sargsyan\’s, the government would be different. Regarding the party belonging, the party which has won in the elections hold the positions of ministers». RPA gott the overwhelming majority of votes but now it holds the same portfolios as the ARF and PAP do. And the latter holds as many portfolios as the ARF does, which isn\’t the part of authority coalition. Vazgen Manukyan gave the following answer to this: «If one mechanism acts in normal countries and another mechanism in our country, we may come to a logical conclusion that our country isn\’t so normal». NDU leader has declared before that Serge Sargsyan co-opeates to provide his victory in the prsidential elections and distributes electoral bribes in the way of portfolios. And now he added: « It is so difficult to explain what is procesing in our government. If the initial process is wrong, the authority has been formed without people\’s wish, other standards become to act. Serge Sargsyan has formed a government taking the presidential elections into consideration and the correlations of inside forces. Those correlations are difficult enough based on invisible ties, fiancial flows and obligations».
