«Nothing has been changed. If I was a civil prisoner on September 6, today I am a political outcast. That false and groundless accusation hasn\’t been denied yet», – Alexander Arzumanyan said to journalists in «Pressing» club. He also noted that nobody had apologized to him for those 4 months he sent in the isolation. He also elucidated that whose apologize he expected? «All those who participated in this, who committed the order and received the order. I have several questions: those judges who make illegal decrees, how do they look at the eyes of their wives and kids… Those who are engaged in my illegal arrest should apologize.”
Alexander Arzumanyan declared that he had been slandered: «I should restore my kind name». And on this occasion he spoke about RA Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan\’s elucidations. In particular, he considered a «new thing» his following affirmation: «It is proved by the criminal case that the whole mechanism which connects with money transfer to Arzumanyan, refer to money laundry. The bodies of national security of Armenia should prove that those amounts have been acquired in criminal way, which our Russian colleagues should say». Alexander Arzumanyan explains: «So they should do a thing which will allow them to think and suspect that money laundry had been processed. They need to do a thing from which they should start. This means that I was arrested 4 months ago without any reason and became filing a case».
Alexander Arzumanyan also noted that: «Money was transferred through a bank, and if there were illegalities, those banks should be closed. They are the owners of that bank». We should remind that the money was transferred through «Converse» bank. He also reminded that he shouldn\’t prove his guiltiness: «Sashik Aghazaryan has explained instead of me who has said: «I have sent money by my friend\’s request. That\’s all. Why should I explain to you? This is my amount. Is there anything illegal here? People have gone and received my sent money… I think that first of all they should find the criminal money then to accuse of money laundry. Instead of saying: you are engaged in money laundry, now let\’s check is there any dirty money».
Alexander Arzumanyan is sure that his arrest was a political order. «The same person who wrote three days ago that it was necessary to keep me under arrest for two more months, also wrote that I should be set free. »
In Mr. Arzumanyan\’s opinion, it is clear that it wasn\’t a legal, juridical action.
