Nobody admits that he is a member of “civil movement” after that name. Either it is a secret movement or the members are not informed that they participate in it.
It was informed last week that a group of intellectuals, politicians and public men had formed so called “civil movement”. According to our sources, several famous politicians are the members of this movement, including ALM holding president Tigran Karapetyan, deputy leader of “National Unity” Party Alexan Karapetyan, writer Aghasy Ayvazyan, producer Ruben Gevorgyants, owner of “Troyka Dialog” company Ruben Vardanyan, sportsman Israel Hakobkokhyan and others. Yesterday “Aravot” tried to find out the purpose of the formation of that new structure, which problems it will solve.
Most of participants of that movement denied their participation in the movement. For example Tigran Karapetyan, in answer to our question, told that he has no information about that movement: “It is not true, I don’t see any connection with your mentioned persons”, – Tigran Karapetyan told angrily.
Writer Aghasy Ayvazyan also denied his participation in that movement. Mr. Ayvazyan told that he was ill, stayed at home and had never heard of any “civil movement”. Producer Ruben Gevorgyants wasn’t also informed about that movement, and when we gave the names which are published in the press as the members of “Solidarity” movement, Mr. Gevorgyants simply told that there were several names among those participants with whom he would never cooperate. Ruben Gevorgyants’ answer was the following: “I don’t remember such a thing. People come, offer to organize different things, maybe it has happened, but I don’t remember. Would you tell me who is the head of that movement, who has organized it, I myself don’t remember”.
The only person, who said that he didn’t know anything about that structure but meantime welcomes the idea, is deputy leader of “National Unity” Party Alexan Karapetyan. “I think that the idea is good enough and the name “Solidarity” as well.
Anyway our sources confirm that such a movement is tried to be formed. We didn’t find out the purposes of this movement but it is confirmed that the purposes are fair.
