Head of Shirak region Lida Nanyan assured in her exclusive interview to “Aravot”.
Though Lida Nanyan’s 100 days of filling the post of head of Shirak region will pass on October 19, but the press has already written about her activities and developments. The target of criticize is L. Nanyan’s staff policy. People in Shirak think that the policy she is carrying out is simply a terror against any ARF official because the new appointed head of region has become to get rid of the ARF members. Let’s remind that ARF representative Romik Manukyan was the mayor of Shirak. Mrs. Nanyan’s first victim was ARF member Mesrop Ghalachyan, the advisor of the former head of region. L. Nanyan assured in the interview to “Aravot” that there is no political problem with Dashnaktsutiun in schools and health system of the region. “The majority of heads departments in the region office (marzpetaran) are ARF members, and I work with them normally if they can work well. That noise was made when I dismissed Mesrop Ghalachyan. I assure that it was a working issue”,- Mrs. Nanyan said.
It was also written in the press that she had also dismissed several ARF principals. “ Acting principals have been appointed in that position. New principals will be assigned according to a competition where the dismissed principals may also take part. Be sure that I haven’t even known from which party the dismissed principals are,”-she said. She also added: “There is no pursuit against ARF members, if it was so I would dismiss the heads of departments of the region office as well”.
The press has also written that $350-400 000 should be paid to corresponding officials to be assigned in the post of head of region. “I have never wanted to fill this post, especially when I have had my work and haven’t even imagined that I can work in this structure. When I was called and offered to work in this position, I was surprised”,- L. Nanyan said.
L. Nanyan admitted that there was no green territories in the capital of the region Gyumri and said that she was ready to prevent illegal constructions but she avoided answering whether it referred to Vardan Ghukasyan as well.
