Yerevan was in panic yesterday. There was deficiency of sugar in the shops of the capital. In several shops it event cost AMD 600. NA parliamentarian Samvel Alexanyan who is the only importer of sugar had taken operative steps to prove that there was no deficiency and rise in price. Sugar was being sold at AMD 220 in front of “Yerevan City” supermarkets, which belong to the parliamentarian. Otherwise the latter might be fined for the use of artificial deficiency or groundless prices.
