The Armenian authorities aren’t tolerant towards the persons who don’t support them.
“The evil destroyed ANM in time”, – Robert Kocharyan said one of these days. It was surprising to hear this kind of words from the RA President who is not so kind towards the oppositionists and mass media. What happened to “Gala” TV Company is only a demonstrative target for those TV Companies who will dare to broadcast Levon Ter-Petrosyan and his adherents. “Sil” concern is another demonstrative target when its founder Khachatur Sukiasyan declared that he would defend Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s candidacy. This was considered as an unforgivable sin sine almost all businessmen of Armenia support Serge Sargsyan or are neutral. Nowadays Tax Service examines almost all establishments which belong to “Sil” concern. Only the businessmen who support the authority dare to declare that they hide taxes: “It’s our business, we are able to do, why not? Why should I pay taxes for them to gamble in Monte Carlo? Sorry but I give it to the poor, nursery schools, for medical assistance, it’s enough how I paid to the state.” ( Mother of PAP leader Roza Tsarukyan said in the interview to “Jamanak-Yerevan”. We tried to find out yesterday the attitudes of businessmen lawmakers towards this fact.

– Which is your opinion about the fact that all establishments which belong to the only big businessman who don’t support Serge Sargsyan became examining and people were arrested.
– I have no information. How can I be informed?
– From the publications in the press.
– I haven’t noticed that kind of political pursuits where I have contacts.
– Where do you have contacts?
– I am parliamentarian of Kanaker Zeitun.
– I know, haven’t you noticed in Zeitun?
– Yes, in our environment.
Attempt N2: Areg Ghukasyan, the RPA parliamentarian, stockholder of “Salt Factory of Avan” also confirmed that he didn’t know anything about the above-mentioned facts. “I don’t know the reasons. Let me know and we’ll speak after.” When we introduced the situation to him his answer was the following: “ If arrests, detection of infringements or control are done for political proposes, I condemn it.”
Attempt N 3: Aramayis Grigoryan, ARF faction parliamentarian, owner of “Avshar” wine factory also told us that he hadn’t heard anything about it. “I respect Mr. Sukiasyan but I have no information about it”.
We stopped our attempts since it was obvious that we couldn’t find any businessman who would condemn this pursuit, understanding very well that they will also be pursued if they dare to say anything unpleasant for the authorities.
