The head of Ararat patriarchal branch said blessing the Republicans during the RPA 11th session.
The progress 11th session was held in “Dinamo” stadium on 10 November. It was noticeable from early in the morning that the session of the ruling party is going to be held. The policemen were controlling the roads to the stadium, numeral cars were parked near the hall. RPA members were passing on the red carpet, greeting each other and entering the hall. Beautiful ladies were guiding the guests and showing their seats. These preparatory actions lasted about an hour and a half. When everybody had taken their seats RA Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan and NA chairman Tigran Torosyan entered and took their seats. This ceremony was like “Oscar” award; the whole participants stood and applauded the first two figures of the party.
Navasard Kchoyan, the head of Ararat Patriarchal branch was the first person who made his speech. His speech was almost political, he said; “the future is built by the present” since people have voted for the Republican in the parliamentary elections, even the foreign observers have given a positive remark. But people are not satisfied. He ended his speech by the following words: “Act since the time is in your hands”.
RA President’s head of staff Armen Gevorgyan was also present in the session but there was no message from the president as it used to be before. ARF (Hrant Margaryan and Hrayr Karapetyan), ULP (Gurgen Arsenyan), PAP (Gagik Tsarukyan and Aram Safaryan) were present in the session from other parties. Gagik Tasrukyan made an oral speech and said the PAP will support RPA presidential candidate, and that they will do everything for: stability in the country, public solidarity, national cohesion and positivism”.
ARF representative Hrayr Karapetyan said: “Today it is obvious that the activity of the past forces is dictated by revenge, it is obvious that they are trying to turn the history of our country to the regress, we should go ahead and playing our leading role in it, together with all national forces, and, undoubtedly, RPA should play the most important role”.
NA chairman Tigran Torosyan spoke about the First President in his speech saying: “If anybody hopes that people have a short memory, I think that they will be sure in a shortest period that they have been wrong this time as well.”
RPA session nominated RA Prime Minister and RPA leader Serge Sargsyan as a presidential candidate. This was announced under heavy applause.
