Several political forces replied to Levon Ter-Petrosyan\’s summon.
Levon Ter-Petrosyan called ARF presidential candidate Hrant Margaryan, Vazgen Manukyan, Rafi Hovanisyan, Artashes Geghamyan and other possible presidential candidates to unite against Kocharyan-Serzh criminal regime during the mass meeting held on November 16.
Several politicians among the above-mentioned gave negative answer to the RA First President\’s proposal. “Heritage” Party press speaker Hovsep Khurshudyan told “Aravot” that Levon Ter-Petrosyan\’s proposal hadn\’t been discussed in the party since the leader of the party was out of the country. That proposal will be discussed as soon as Rafi Hovanisyan comes back. NDU leader Vazgen Manukyan said that he would give a complete answer today.
“National Unity” Leader Artashes Geghamyan was the first to answer Levon Ter-Petrosyan\’s proposal. He highly appreciates Levon Ter-Petrosyan\’s readiness to serve as an instrument for each opposition power to get rid of the current regime, and he will discuss how to use the RA First President\’s capability for their own struggle. A. Geghamyan who was the member of the PACE delegation, didn\’t also agree with Levon Ter-Petrosyan\’s proposal to turn to the European structures.
“Dashinq” Party\’s member Gnel Ghlechyan considered Levon Ter-Petrosyan\’s proposal as a blackmail saying: “RA First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan has chosen a right ideology and methods in the struggle against the current regime, but he shouldn\’t call us to join him”.
