THE AUTHORITY BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE

The leaders of the opposition express their opinion about revolution, parliamentary commission and public chamber.

According to some sources the authorities will permit the mass meeting on June 20. But not in the Freedom Square but in the territory near Matenadaran.  In answer to the question why the authorities do not allow people to hold a mass meeting in the Freedom Square, Zhirair Seifilian said in the press conference held yesterday: “I welcome their decision to permit because in any case the mass meeting will be held, and I will participate. But why they don’t allow it in the Freedom Square… we see how small-minded they are. These people are sick. Perhaps they think that if the mass meeting is held in the Freedom Square they will be dismissed because that square has become a big house of freedom”. What kind of hopes do Zhirair Sefilian cherishes with the mass meeting which will be held on June 20, will that day be shattering in the history of Armenia?  “That day is one of the decisive steps and more political issues will be solved that day thanks to our people’s presence. I call the people to be present as much as they can.” He is also sure that “The authority’s case is solved by 80%; Every Armenian should realize that his or her participation is a useful investment and that is decisive. These authorities have already nothing to do”. Zhirair Sefilyan also added: “Finally  all criminals should answer towards the law”.

PPA leader Stepan Demirchyan shares Zhirair Sefilyan standpoints  who said in the press conference yesterday: “The second article of the Constitution according to which the authority belongs to the people, should come true.”
