The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights continues to raise cases of the people who were arrested after the March events in the post-electoral period. The Head of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) ambassador Yanesh Lenarchich told ArmInfo agency about this. However, according to the Ambassador every time the government’s response is that only the people arrested not for participating in the events on 1 March 2008 remain behind the bars. “Every time we raise that issue we get this explanation. I cannot say that I trust those explanations, since I do not know much about the cases. We know that there are still arrested people. But the government assures us that the reasons for their arrest have nothing to do with the well-known events”, underlined the head of the organization pinning his hopes on the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
