At the agency of the legal persons state register of the Ministry of Justice of the RA the “Hnchakyan” Party was registered on March 16.
Yesterday in the conversation with Lyudmilla Sargsyan regarding this issue, I learned that Gevorg Perkuperkyan brought a suit to the public prosecutor’s office against Lyudmilla Harutyunyan. Perkuperkyan claims that Lyudmilla Sargsyan illegally snatched the chairman’s office of the party, that he is the legitimate chairman and he asks for the mediation of the law-enforcement officers to confiscate the party seal from Sargsyan and to return it to him. Lyudmilla Sargsyan was crossed (surprised) with this, “That boy is either stupid or is a very useless tool.” I want to remind that the courts of the first two instances brought in a verdict in “the seal case” in favor of Lyudmilla Sargsyan’s supporters. However, the prosecutor’s office sent the suit to the police, the latter disturbed Mrs. Sargsyan with a phone call and then visited the party office and in that very place found out and became familiar with the verdicts in force in “the seal case”. Mrs. Sargsyan greatly doubts that the domestic police and prosecutor’s office were unaware of the party argument lasting for two years and the verdicts brought in at the courts. Perkuperkyan’s objection and the quick response to that surprise her and she assesses that as a mere attempt to impede her political activities. She also calls Perkuperkyan “a police agent”. Notwithstanding all of this, she says that she and her party mates will continue their strict oppositional position not dreading neither the prosecutor’s office, nor the police, nor especially Perkuperkyan’s attacks. Lyudmilla Sargsyan also said that they had already registered the party flag and coat of arms at the intellectual property office leaving the “Hnchakyan” Party with no chance to use the party attributes. Lyudmilla Sargsyan expressed her thoughts about all this saying, “They want to find a compromising solution in order to secure Sedrak’s existence in the Central board. I am aware that his future continuance in office is in serious doubt.” Concerning the registration of the new party our interlocutor is convinced that notwithstanding the promises of the other side there will be conflicts with the overall Hnchakyan Center, because “They do not act by the same name. Whatever they do, the traditional Hnchakyan Party is represented in Armenia by the SDHP with its history and attributes. This is a political adventure carried out by Sedrak Achemyan and the government. They will not mature anyway, they are not able to take up any political activity and that party will never become a party of personalities, because its establishment has no political grounds.”
P.S. “Hnchakyan” supporters avoided comments yesterday, but let us hope that they will respond to Mrs. Sargsyan’s accusations in the near future.
