It stopped being the Freedom play park

Yerevan City Hall dismantled the carousels and trampolines shown on the photos, which were in the Freedom square. There are a lot of reasons expressed for this measure. The head of the Kentron district Gagik Gyanjumyan told “A1+”, “The City Hall probably decided to make more space for both the kids and music listeners and also for the cultural events. This is the reason why it was decided to clear the territory.” The Yerevan City Hall public relations office told Epress.am that the trampoline situated in the square did not guarantee children’s safety, “And the rest was removed because the cultural department organizes other events. This round of events is over – there will be other kinds of events organized from now on”.  Whereas “Arminfo” informed that recently a movement occurred view on Facebook against the inflated trampolines distorting the Opera building and within a few days 1000 people joined it. The group members turned to the mayor of Yerevan via Facebook and the latter responded that the changes will be tangible in the near future.”
