Yesterday, the Chairman of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, the Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu responding at the PACE to the questions of the Azerbaijani delegates Ganira Pashayeva and Rafayel Huseynov, which as usual were related to “occupant Armenia”, “the occupation of 20% of the Azerbaijani territories” etc. said that those questions were not discussed at the Committee of Ministers and as its chairman he could only say that the Minsk Group is dealing with the settlement of that issue, “However as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey I want to stress that the provoking actions of Armenia will not contribute to the political settlement of the Karabakh issue. And those steps taken by Armenia should be stopped in order to fulfill the agreements made by presidents Aliyev and Sargsyan.” He also stated that official Ankara is against “the occupation of the Azerbaijani territories” and tries to draw the attention of the international community to “the humanitarian catastrophe existing in this region”.
