Did the Ministry of Foreign Affairs censor?

Presenting the “Festival and feast culture in Armenia” book published in 2010 one of “Aravot’s” sources said that at first it should have been published with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture, however the financing was stopped, because pictures on how the “Sksel a” (he has started) organization celebrated the “Barekendan” festival in 2007 were published in the book. We tried to get clarifications on the news from ethnographer Hranush Kharatyan and she provided us along with the commentaries with the decision of the Ministry of Culture professional council. There were observations about the embedded pictures like the following, “1^st picture on page 238; it is not clear who or what the youngsters must not fear” or “on page 243 the balloons with “sksel a” inscriptions have nothing to do with barekendan, since traditionally there has been no such slogan during barekendan.” We got clarifications on the matter from the Ministry of Culture too.
