In one of the documents uncovered by WikiLeaks that relates to Iran and to the possibility of impeding the nuclear project of that country by the USA, the meeting details of already former US Ambassador in Baku Ann Dears and a subordinate dealing with Iran issues with former Head of the National Security Department of the RA Davit Sharmazanov appeared. According to RL, during the conversation with the American diplomats Shahnazaryan assessed the possible military attacks of the US on Iran as “not a smart move” and talking about the Armenian-Iranian bilateral relations, said, “The relations between Armenia and Iran are not confined to commercial relations. There exists the highest level cooperation on political issues and in the sphere of security”, and he particularly emphasized that Iran did not want to see any development in the NK issue, because it allowed Iran to distract Azerbaijan’s attention from the problems of Azerbaijanis living in the north of Iran.
