The mayor had “a change of heart”

Yesterday the City Hall workers were ordering a few laborers they took with them to dismantle the constructions in front of the main façade of the Komitas 26 building. During a conversation with us Levon Kirakosyan who is the owner of the mentioned building said that the former mayor of Yerevan Yervand Zakharyan gave a permission to build those as commercial pavilions. Gagik Beglaryan, his successor did not object to the construction either and current mayor Karen Karapetyan did not see any problem in the construction issue at first, but afterwards “had a change of heart”. Neighbors were telling that the construction works had been done primarily at night. Yesterday’s dismantlement was supervised by NA MP Alexander Sargsyan’s son Hayk.
