Yesterday evening a few inspectors of the criminal investigation and local departments of the police station of Shengavit were trying to bring in 33-yar-old resident of the Bagratunyats 26 building Armen Sargsyan. The latter was on a drip around the dessert table the moment we arrived. The reason was that at around 11pm July 3 in the yard of his building an unidentified person shot S. Sargsyan and ran away by a foreign car. At midnight the same day the doctors took a bullet out of his neck as a result of an operation. He made acquaintances with the police officers that visited the hospital with a false name and in response to the question where he was injured he said in Davitashen, Zovuni, in the Arabkir district and some other places. Yesterday when I asked him why he had concealed the incident scene, he responded, “I was afraid for my children.” The police officers were continuously trying for two hours to take the man “on a drip” to the police station. His lawyer Mr. Mirzoyan persuaded them to call a doctor. The doctors arrived at the police officers’ call and after examining the patient, said, “Although his life is not in danger, but it would be desirable that he was in a lying position for a few hours.” After the doctors left, the officers stayed in the apartment explaining “when he wakes up, we will bring him in.”
