Second figure previously chairing the Pan-Armenian National Movement board has left the HHSh (Pan-Armenian National Movement). The HHSh board chair from 2000 to 2002 Alexander Arzumanyan handed in his resignation on August 17. “I have stated many times that it has been a reality for more than one year already. I did not attend the latest HHSh convention that took place on July 17 2010. After that the newly elected board has conducted re-registration of the members, in which I did not take part and I perceived my HHSh membership over by that”, said Alexander Arzumanyan to Radio Liberty. “There is just an internal party procedure and there were different commentaries that there had been no application to formalize. I handed in my resignation, by which I reaffirmed that I had not been the HHSh member since July 17 2010.” He also stated that he is “a sympathizer and a follower” of the newly-formed “Free Democrats” Party.
