“What prevents the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia from rising up against this conspicuous phenomenon, as, for example, the 9 Armenian diplomats and a deputy attorney general did in regard to electoral fraud during the 2008 presidential election”, said first president of the Republic of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrossian at a rally yesterday, thoroughly analyzing the main cases of violation of the Constitution since 2008. “That symbolic move would have had more use from the perspective of establishing and strengthening the legal conscience, than the previous activities of the Constitutional Court. Maybe I am under influence of idealism, but I am convinced that without idealism it is not possible to build a lawful and moral state”, finished the first president. He called the dependency of the Constitutional Court “the end of the state”. He recurred to the well-known publications of “WikiLeaks” in order to confirm the dependency of the Constitutional Court.
