Jim Torosyan is absolutely against

Yesterday famous architect Jim Torosyan called “Aravot’s” office and asked to publish the following, “Recently many articles regarding construction works in downtown Yerevan have been published with irresponsible statements, where I am also mentioned inappropriately. They express ideas on my behalf, which are not only wrong, but also do not correspond to the reality at all. In particular, they speak of constructing a building near the metro station, Mkrtich Minasyan and I projected, some people got so excited that they even said on the station, in the vicinity of the Republic Square. Being absolutely against that intention, I could have never agreed to such a ridiculous project. I am sure the Republic Square is a great achievement of not only our, but also world architecture in general – I don’t accept any interference in that monument issue and ask everyone not to use my name from now on.”
